An early 1970s gold tone picture frame with a narrow scalloped border reminiscent of French Provincial or cottage styling. Border is factory painted antique white and speckled in gold, and then both inner and outer edges and ridges are rubbed to expose the gold tone beneath. Frame is in nice vintage condition with no adverse issues noted. The red felt backing itself does show some age-related wear and fading as expected (see last photos), but the easel is still in fine working order. Non-glare glass. Unpackaged frame weight is almost 1 1/2 pounds. Overall frame measures approximately 9 inches wide across the front by 11 inches tall. Holds 8x10 picture or photo.
Specifically Concerning Photo Frames:
Please note that the images you see in frame listings (unless otherwise specified) are low-resolution reproductions of vintage portraits from a personal collection. They have no actual value per listing. Their sole purpose is simply to fill the frame space. Also, be aware that it is not uncommon for the glass in vintage metal frames to have chipped corners or flea bites along edges. Rest assured that this in no way affects any visual presentation, as these age-related imperfections are well hidden behind frame borders. Keep in mind too that antique glass may have waves, seeds, or tiny etch marks due to manufacturing processes of the time.
