A matching set of three (3) 1940s gold tone metal picture photo frames in excellent vintage condition. This particular 1940s set was part of a studio package of 3 portrait frames that were purchased together. Partial price stickers can still be seen affixed to the backs of two, while the third (an 8x10) has an intact one that reads, "Town and Country $1.49." Both 8x10s have thicker glass which was synonymous with quality photo frames of the period. All 3 of these frames were well cared for and are simply in fantastic shape. Rich, gold coloring. Ball footed. No visible rusting or adverse metal deterioration of any type. The black cardboard backings themselves do show some minor age-related wear as expected (see photo), but the easels are still in fine working order. Unpackaged weight combined is almost 3 pounds.
Specifically Concerning Photo Frames:
Please note that the images you see in frame listings (unless otherwise specified) are low-resolution reproductions of vintage portraits from a personal collection. They have no actual value per listing. Their sole purpose is simply to fill the frame space. Also, be aware that it is not uncommon for the glass in vintage metal frames to have chipped corners or flea bites along edges. Rest assured that this in no way affects any visual presentation, as these age-related imperfections are well hidden behind frame borders. Keep in mind too that antique glass may have waves, seeds, or tiny etch marks due to manufacturing processes of the time.
